Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter, such as peat moss or compost. A mix formulated for houseplants or tropical plants works well for Oxycardium plants. Feed your Oxycardium plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilization in fall and winter when growth slows.
"Oxycardium" plants can be propagated from stem cuttings. Take a cutting with several nodes, remove the lower leaves, and place it in a pot with moist potting mix. Keep the soil consistently moist until roots develop. Prune Oxycardium plants to control their size and shape and remove any dead or yellowing leaves. You can also pinch back the growing tips to encourage bushier growth.
"Oxycardium" plants are toxic if ingested, so keep them out of reach of children and pets. The sap can also be irritating to the skin, so it's a good idea to wear gloves when handling the plant. Overall, Oxycardium plants are attractive and relatively low-maintenance houseplants that can add a touch of greenery to any indoor space.
